Lafangey Parindey new wallpapers

Lafangey Parindey is a film directed by Pradeep Sarkar, produced by Aditya Chopra and starring Neil Nitin Mukesh and Deepika Padukone in the lead roles.

Reportedly, the film is about bike gangs in Mumbai. Neil Nitin Mukesh plays the character of One Shot Nandu, a fighter who pummels his opponents in the ring blindfolded. Deepika Padukone plays Pinky Palkar, a dancer who is blind but ambitious and dances with roller skates on her feet. He teaches her to see and she teaches him how to love. But what price will they have to pay for their love?

The film is set to release on 20 August 2010 under the Yash Raj Films banner.

Karan Johar is planning a film with Imran and Kareena Kapoor on the lines of Ashton Kutcher – Cameron Diaz’s 2008 Hollywood hit flick, What Happens in Vegas. For this, he wants Bebo to go back to being size zero once again.

The planning for the film which is titled Short Term Shaadi has started and Kareena’s look for the movie is going to be striking. If buzz is to be believed, she will go in for a short hair-cut for the film to look as young as Imran.

About Bebo going back to her anorexic days, a source tells a daily, “It is ironical. Kareena had just started eating to look slightly rounded because her boyfriend Saif Ali Khan is tired of her looking like a clothes hanger.”

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is to appear in a new L’Oreal ad with Academy Award winning actress, Kate Winslet. This is the first time that Aishwarya will be sharing the stage in her long contract with L’Oreal. However, the actress says she has always admired the work of Kate Winslet and looks forward to working with her.

The ad will be shot in Italy over two days by a renowned director. A source close to the Bollywood star said, “Aishwarya is very excited to meet Kate and moreover shoot with her for the ad.”

This is the first sign of a shift away from the usual image of Aishwarya as brand ambassador and might signal the start of L’Oreal plans to move Aishwarya to the over 30s market. This move came after Aishwarya refused to endorse a skin lightening cream for L’Oreal. The beauty company offered the part of brand ambassador to Sonam Kapoor instead. It is possible that L’Oreal were already planning on representing Aishwarya to the older market.

Salman wants Deepika Padukone for the remake of the S

Buzz is that Atul Agnihotri's remake of the South flick Bodyguard with brother-in-law Salman Khan will star Deepika Padukone. Katrina Kaif was Atul's first choice but Sallu feels the Om Shanti Om girl is more apt for the role.

A source says, "Salman is keen on working with Deepika. He feels they will look good on screen. When Atul suggested Katrina's name, he shot it down saying the project needed a fresh pairing. He's watched the original and thought Deepika would fit the role perfectly."

Both Sallu and Dippy have had opportunities to work together in the past. The star wanted to work with her in Anees Bazmee's Ready, but talks fizzled out and Asin stepped in.

Barely hours after Spain won the World Cup, Bollywood actor Anil Kapoor was fatigued and yet euphoric in Johannesburg. He had seen what he called the greatest show on earth. He was bowled over by two people - Nelson Mandela and Shakira.

Being the brand ambassador to South Africa, Anil had a ringside view of the match. And he’s most impressed.

“You have to understand the World Cup final was a self-contained experience. And the way the South African government put it together is exemplary for all, including us Indians who struggle against countless glitches when we host an international sporting event. On Sunday evening here in Johannesburg there were no glitches, no traffic jams on the roads, no seating errors, no jostling and no VIP interventions. Everything went smoothly. I’d describe it as the greatest show on earth,” he told IANS.

Anil was bowled over by Shakira. “What a presence! What a performance! She just took everyone’s collective breath away and set the right mood for the match.”

The match itself was touch and go, and Anil was hooked. “The final moments proved decisive for Spain. I realised what edge-of-the-seat excitement meant. I forgot everything in the final moments of the game, including the fact that I had flown in and had to fly out within 24 hours. It was just 96,000 people staring open-mouthed in a stadium built specially for the occasion.”

When Akshay Kumar bribed!

He may be mocking the social evil of corruption in his new film Khatta Meetha but Bollywood's very own Khiladi, Akshay Kumar admits to paying bribe once.

Akshay, who has teamed up with filmmaker Priyadarshan for the sixth time with Khatta Meetha, says that the film is a comedy with a cause which is hatke (different) from their earlier collaborations. "Our country is said to be a growing superpower with the fastest growing economy but still we do not have good roads because in our system," Akshay, who plays the role of a road contractor in the film, said.

When asked if there was any occasion where the actor had to pass money under the table, Akshay admitted, "Yeah... it was way back when I had to get my car's registration number that I had to bribe."

But the 42-year-old actor added that he would not do it again as he is scared of getting caught the next time. The star, who is also producing Khatta Meetha, would prefer to make films and speak about such issues. Akshay also chose to ignore the recent controversy where he was called a 'jackass' by a film critic for posing with ailing cartoonist R K Laxman a publicity gimmick for Khatta Meetha at a Mumbai hospital.

"It is all part of so called journalism. Whether it is good or bad, it is your opinion. I rather choose to ignore it and not react," Akshay said. Akshay was thankful to Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who had taken offence regarding the usage of the word and had reacted on microblogging site Twitter.

The actor silenced another controversy regarding the track in Khatta Meetha which takes potshots at corrupt politicians. "No one has come to us and said anything about the song as yet. We are not taking names of any individual or political party in the track. We are just commenting about the corruption," Akshay said.

Pamela's hot body-baring PETA ad banned

Pamela Anderson's risque new PETA ad has been banned in Canada for being 'sexist' and treating the actress like a piece of meat.

Canadian officials denied a permit for an event that was being held for launching Anderson's new animal-rights ad, claiming the ad is sexist.

In the ad, Anderson is seen posing in a bikini and her body is covered in marks suggestive of a butcher's diagram and different parts of her body are labelled 'rump,' 'ribs,' 'breast,' etc.

The ad's caption reads, 'All Animals Have the Same Parts.'

"In a city that is known for its exotic dancing and for being progressive and edgy, how sad that a woman would be banned from using her own body in a political protest over the suffering of cows and chickens," the New York Daily News quoted Anderson as saying.

"It is not so much controversial, as it goes against all principles public organisations are fighting for in the everlasting battle of equality between men and women," an official wrote in an e-mail to PETA.

"I think that city officials are confusing 'sexy' with 'sexist,'" said PETA Senior Vice President Dan Mathews.

The launch of the ad will now be held in a restaurant instead of a public venue as planned earlier.

Dhan Dhani Dharti Reprise

Very few singers if any can outdo Shankar Mahadevan in this form but Sonu Nigam is one such performer who can outdo the best of the best! In Wayne Sharpe’s “Dhan Dhani Dharti Reprise” he is superb but you don’t expect anything less from THE singer of our generation. His emotional rendition is simply head and shoulders above anything else on this soundtrack. Recommended!

Don’t be fooled or disappointed by the soundtrack. Yes it’s a mixed bag for sure but Raajneeti the film was never meant to feature superb songs, in fact one wonders how many of these songs will make it into the final production. Those that do will surely sound better on screen than as a stand alone attraction (although the remixes are enjoyable). Otherwise Prakash Jha will rely on a good background score by Wayne Sharpe together with fine performances and a tight script to give it a good chance of success at the box office.

Kuch To Baki Hai

Kuch To Baki Hai is definitely the highlight of Milenge Milenge and shows the forte of the singer and the composer. The feel of the song is instant, with Himesh Reshammiya delivering a fantastic solo performance. It gets one into the mood right away and it makes one want to hear it one more time. Sameer’s lyrics deserve full mention as the words are poignant and powerful. Instruments like the sarangi, the harmonium and the tabla are emphasized, while the semi-classical alaaps and high pitched singing transform ‘Kuch To Baki Hai’ into an excellently sung and composed song. Kudos! ‘Kuch To Baki Hai’ is a fusion of conceived emotions (further portrayed by the break-up of the Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor), Indian music and melody and Himesh Reshammiya’s singing.

Kuch To Baki Hai (Dark Mix) and Kuch To Baki Hai (Bright Mix) by DJ Llyod and DISCREET are good extension of beats of the originals. Sung by Himesh Reshammiya, with additional vocals by DJ Llyod and Vineet Singh, both remixes are sure to keep the dance floor busy, but one expected remixes which were more striking.

Himesh Reshammiya does not stretch his boundaries too much and goes in the same comfort zone with two vintage numbers opening the highly anticipated next release of Pooja Bhatt and Himesh Reshammiya. Kajra Kajra Kajraare and Rabba Luck Barsa contain enough ingredients to sell the soundtrack and assure a hit tag to Kajraare. Taking into consideration the two electrifying remixes (DJ Lloyd and DISCREET) of the both original tracks, Himesh Reshammiya is definitely back in the charts.

The challenge for the singer is to keep the fans in mind, as well as the audience of his release. This is how ‘Kajra Kajra Kajraare’ has been originally composed, retaining the same formula, of repeating the first few lines. Fuelled by a catchy tune, strong background music with dholaks, a solo violin piece, the composer’s familiar sounds with the keyboard, the first track is instantly lovable. The movie is based on the subject of road development and the road mafia. Struggling road Construction contractor, Sachin Tichkule (Akshay Kumar) has no scope to turn big as he has no money to bribe. To make matters worse the new Municipal Commissioner turns out to be his ex-girlfriend (Trisha Krishnan), who now hates him. The movie is a satirical comedy with how Sachin bumbles his way from one disaster to another and survives corruption and bribery rampant in the system in his own ingenious way.

Kareena Kapoor to promote ‘We Are Family’ without Kajol

Kareena Kapoor has taken the whole responsibility of promoting the Karan Johar’s next movie We Are Family as Kajol will not be available for the same. Katrina Kaif’s birthday plans changed

There was nothing that Katrina would have liked better on her birthday on Friday than to be with her family in London. In fact, she had planned and plotted for months and weeks to make her birthday wish come true.

But then, star proposes, producer disposes. Just when Katrina took a break from her shooting in Spain from Zoya Akhtar’s Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara to spend the days leading to her birthday in London her plans were thwarted.

Now Katrina has to return to shoot in Pampolona for Zoya’s film a day before her birthday.

Trying hard to conceal her disappointment about being deprived of her annual family get-together Katrina says, “Yes, I had planned well in advance to spend my birthday with my family in London. But some scenes for Zoya’s film have been rescheduled and I’ve to go back on Thursday, a day ahead of my birthday, to Spain. Never mind. I’ll be working on my birthday and that’s the best way to bring in my birthday”.

Looking at the brighter side Katrina says, “My two youngest sisters Isabella and Sonia are coming back to Spain with me, so I have a part of my family with me. And I couldn’t hope to be with a better unit on my birthday. Zoya Akhtar is one of the coolest directors I’ve worked with”.

Looking at the year Katrina says, “I got to work with two women directors Zoya and Farha Khan this year. And they were both such fun to work with. I also had a big hit Raajneeti. I couldn’t have asked for more. In the coming year, I hope to find love. Every girl needs someone to share her life with”.

Katrina returns to India next month to face one of her biggest challenges as an actress. On August 11 she has to perform an item song with Akshay Kumar for Farah Khan’s Tees Maar Khan.

Sighs Katrina, “It is like no other item song. It will have elements from both Indian and western dance forms. It will blend various styles and give me a chance to perform what could possibly be my most challenging on-screen dances. I can’t wait to return and start rehearsing for the number”.

Salman and Katrina split -Not in talking terms anymore!!

Looks like, Salman and Katrina are no more together. They have gone their own ways and are not even on talking terms anymore.

Salman has been busy at the Mehboob Studios for Dabangg, while Katrina was shooting for Zoya akhtar’s film with Hrithik roshan, Farhan and Abhay Deol.

It was noticed that, they were shooting for almost a day next to each other, but they didn’t even bother to greet each other.
